How to grow wheatgrass

How to Grow Wheatgrass.

Its really easy.

Spend as little as €1 per week to grow your own wheatgrass juice at home.

Growing Basics

1. Soak your wheatgrass seeds overnight (8 to 12 hours). 250 grams of seed recommended for 1 tray

2. Fill a standard growing tray to the top with compost.

3. Spead the seeds lightly over the top of the compost

4. Water the tray and then cover the seeds to keep them from drying out for the first two to three days.

5. During the first three days of growth, water once or twice a day. Do not over water . Preferably mist spray your seed.

6. When the roots begin to take over your soil remove cover.

7. For mold problems, increase your air circulation. Mold is generally caused by not enough air circulation and to much water.

8. Harvest grass when it grows thick to about 8 inches / 200mm high and you see a second blade at the base. Average growing time is 12 to 14 days in winter and 7 to 10 days in the summer.

9. Only harvest once. Cut grass will store in the fridge for about seven to 10 days. Then start the process all over again with new seeds and soil.
